Style.

Recently my boyfriend has started to dress really nicely. He looks so handsome and clean cut. Well, it made me realize that I would like to start dressing nicer as well. My problem is I don't know what styles I would look good in. What types of clothes that I should buy that aren't too dressy but something to look good in. I'm lost and am  in need of advice. I'm going to be 21 soon and I want to start looking more my age rather than wearing yoga pants and goodies on a daily basis. So, any advice would be very much appreciated. I want my boyfriend to look at me and say, WOW! I want to look sophisticated and stunning. I just need someone to teach me how!

Just an update!

So, 2012 has passed and seeing as I haven't posted in quite some time I figured I would share my year with you. It was stressful yet exciting and fun.

My favorite part of 2012 would have to be when I went skydiving! I received a certificate for my 20th birthday! It was very exhilarating and exciting! I recommend you try it . Check out the photos!

It was one of the best experiences of my life. I also celebrated my 5 year anniversary with my Alexander. I am so lucky to have him. 

Some insignificant things that happened includes getting my first iPhone on my own plan, paying off my doctor bills and gaining and losing a significant amount of weight! Overall I'd say 2012 was a good year, but I'm hoping to grow and progress this year more than I did the last.

so, I haven't posted in quite some time. it's sad but my computer pooped out on me and writing a blog via iPhone is not too easy.  I received a kindle fire for Christmas and am back online! I hope to get my rear in gear and stay on top of this! I've missed all of your blogs dearly and can't wait to catch up with you!

In 1865 Abraham Lincoln was shot on this day, April 14. Tomorrow is the anniversary of his death. :( &another fact; He predicted he was going to be assassinated in office. Not only that, he predicted it only a day earlier. Crazy right? 

I do love me some Abe Lincoln facts. :)

Migraines.

This post is a plea for help. I get migraines constantly, about 3 to 4 times a week. I've been on different medications & none have worked. Pain medications don't even touch them. I need something to help me get rid of these! Does anyone have any advice, information or suggestions? I'm sick so often & I can't deal with this anymore. I haven't even been able to do my beauty blog post because I go to work & then go to bed feeling awful. I just need some advice. Anything. Ha, I'm practically begging but seriously I'm fed up.. :(

Loving life.

There are certain things I do during the day to keep my spirit's high. I was thinking, am I weird or do others do these things too?

I wake up & immediately think of what I have to do today & what I love about it. Whether it be work or just relaxing I always give myself something to look forward too.

I sing all the way to work. It makes me so happy to sing along alone in the car. If I didn't have that on the way there or home I'd go nuts!

If i'm having a bad day I promise to do something for myself once i'm home. Paint my nails, use my yummy avocado face mask, dye my hair or use my favorite lotion! It gives me something to look forward too.

Do you do anything like this to get through your tough days, lazy mornings or the week? Or am I just a weirdo? I mean I know i'm weird but hey I love it! :)

Just something? Not multiple things? Because I'm a shopper and want everything! But in all honesty I have many of the things I've desired. A beautiful car, an amazing boyfriend, a good job & my hedgehog! If I had to choose something that I want but will NEVER get it's a day with Abraham Lincoln. If you really research information about him it's incredible! He was amazing, smart and witty! How much better can a person be. His quotes are inspiring as is his life. Oh Abe, your such a babe. :)

Some news. :)

So, I've obviously been missing in action here for awhile. But work is killing me! I love it though, so it's alright! I'm not sure if I've shared with my fellow bloggers about my chronic migraines. I'll get them for weeks at a time so it makes it a bit hard to function. :( Well, my neurologist has decided to do botox! Yes, botox. But on my neck to paralize the muscles. I mean right now I'm covered in IcyHot & it's just not cutting it. &to make matters worse I totally wiped out in front of Subway two days ago. It was snowing ALOT & as I came up the sidewalk I slipped and landed on my back! OUCH! I seem to do this every winter.. As for the botox, as long as my insurance will pay for it I'll be getting it. My neck is going to look GREAT! lol 


Also, my car is fixed and I am so happy! My boyfriends dad was having someone put the battery in (it's located in the wheel well. Really?!) & he surprised me by fixing everything! I had been jumping it from the new battery every day! Not fun at all!! &my exhaust had a leak so loud that when I was driving with other people in the car you had to yell to talk. To make matters worse both of my struts (the things that absorb the bumps in the road) where blown. It went squeak, squeak, squeak all the way home. But now it's back to it's beautiful, quiet self!

I wish that when I was in high school I actually knew that none of the drama mattered & that it was important to actually do the work& to have confidence. I slacked off & my whole day, every day was filled with being bullied and fighting with old friends. But if I would have known how minuscule those events were & something as simple as speaking up to the right person, they could have been avoided. I will make a difference one day. Bullying is a big deal but no one ever takes the time to think about what it really does. I have such an issue with the school systems & how they handle bad situations. I will do a post one day about my thoughts.

There are so many things that come to mind. I guess you could say most of the things I own have sentimental value, so when I lose them or something happens it's a bit sad. I had this huge stuffed animal dog when I was about 7 and then until I was 13 or so. I slept on it and used it as a chair. It was sturdy! I remember my mom paid $100 for it at Toy's R Us & a guy had to get a fork lift to get it from a really high shelf. It was bigger then my 7 year old self! Oh, I miss that. :) (I tried to find a photo, I couldn't find anything! But plenty of 90's memories.)

Alexander & I have been watching documentaries. The most recent one was called, "When We Left Earth: The  NASA Missions." So, me being me I like to know more about the people they talk about. I do this with everything! Movies, T.V shows, books & what have you. Anyways, I looked up John Glenn who was the first man to enter space in the United States. From there I wondered what happened today in history, especially it being Friday the thirteenth. So expand your knowledge and read on!

My Marine. :)

 Today I saw my marine. Her name is Logan & she is nothing but an inspiration. I love her to death & have waited over a year to see her! She's been stationed in Japan with little contact. A few friends & herself came up with a plan to bring her home for Christmas & surprise her family yesterday! It worked perfectly! The amount of pride & joy I have in my heart right now cannot be put into words. She doesn't compete with the girls but the boys. She's the best & strives to be better then expected. How can you not look up to someone like her? It's the most wonderful Christmas presents I will receive this year. I love my marine.

Goals.

My goal this new years is to start running. Although, I'm going to start early because my eating habits have gotten out of control! I think my body is set to eat more during the month of December because of Christmas. Now, me saying I'm going to run is a BIG deal. Reason being is I hate it! Not so much anymore, I've been working out & I've gotten to the point where I believe I can run without feeling like I'm dying, rather than the satisfying pain you should feel. Does that make since?lol So, I'm going to try to get the motivation to run&STICK TO IT! ...maybe. :)

What are your goals going to be this year?

Have you ever stuck to a goal that you made? I know I have a hard time with it!

Also, I wanted to share some happy news! My Alexander just got a new car finally! It's beautiful, a Jaguar XK8. Oh, it's so fast, convertible & perfect condition.

I can't wait until summer, driving around with the top down! :)

All I want for Christmas..

is an engagement ring! Haha, I told my boyfriend that I would love a ring for Christmas. How unromantic right? Well, I don't want to be pushy but I would love any type of ring, engagement or not, from him. :) I can't wait until the day I marry him!

Isn't the difference insane! I don't know what's even changed but it's strange to see such a big difference. .

I wish I had blue eyes. Red hair. Smaller nose. Smaller body, less fat. But sadly no..I am what I am &I'm trying the best I can to accept me..for me!

Oh the weather..

...outside is frightful. Not snow but rain. It's almost December & it's raining! Thank goodness though, I'm so nervous for the snow. Last winter I had a GMC Jimmy, he was amazing but then he got sick & i sold him. Now I have a Dodge Stratus named Dumbledore. No four wheel drive. A broken strut. Ahhhhh! If anyone knows about Michigan weather it's unpredictable to say the least. About a week ago we had a few flurries and the next day it was 60 degree's and sunny! Maybe we won't have any snow this winter. Ha, no I would miss it, just not the driving through it part. Especially since I can't have snow day's at work, so I'll end up driving through a blizzard & 3 feet of snow. That's what happened last year anyhow. It was also -5 outside and I had no heat in my car. I layered up my clothes to the point I looked like the little boy from "A Christmas Story." lol 

Yep this is what I looked like. 'bout a foot taller though.lol

Does anyone have experience driving cars in the winter? Or is your winter bright & warm? (If so i envy you)

I'd like to share some of them with you, but if you rather have me do more make up tutorials..then buy me some makeup! Haha, just kidding. Finally found my camera charger and pulled all the pictures off of it, so this may be picture heavy! &since I was bored I'll show you some edited ones too, Picnik really is a great website for photo editing.

 This was right after I had my hair cut! I could have bangs or no bangs! :)

I used my E.L.F eyeliner and outlined it with my mark. eyeliner. I love the blue!

Tinted moisturizer. I apply this, then mineral powder. 

I ALWAYS always use this! I don't know how I managed without it before. It holds all day and makes all my colors very vibrant.

Colors are so rich, i add a drop of water for more vibrancy.

I found this amazing tutorial on Youtube & I tried it out. Although my camera is not currently up&running (I lost the battery charger..) I attempted to use my web cam to show you! &For warning: I'm not very good at doing my nails so if it doesn't look perfect, well I'm sorry! lol
